Delete your StarDust Meet account

This page tells you how to permanently delete your StarDust Meet account and the data we hold about you, as required by Apple App Store, Google Play and GDPR Article 17.

What gets deleted

Confirming deletion removes your MATCH profile, SPACES persona, HUNTER orders and store, chat history, uploaded photos and videos, identity-verification records, badges and Coin balance, and all associated metadata across StarDust services. Stripe payment records, safety reports you submitted and legal-compliance audit logs are retained for the legally required minimum period and then deleted.

Path 1: in-app (recommended)

  1. Open StarDust Meet and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account Actions → Delete Account.
  3. Choose a reason (optional) and tap Delete account.
  4. We email a 6-digit confirmation code to the address on file.
  5. Enter the code in the app to confirm.
  6. A 30-day grace period starts. Sign back in within those 30 days to cancel the deletion.
  7. After 30 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.

Path 2: web (no app install required)

If you can no longer access the app, email privacy@stardustmeet.com from the email address on your StarDust account with the subject Delete my account. We will:

  1. Verify the request came from the account email (within 1 business day).
  2. Reply with the 6-digit confirmation code and a link to confirm.
  3. Start the same 30-day grace period as the in-app flow.
  4. Permanently delete after 30 days.

If you no longer have access to the email on file, include a description of your account (registration date, MATCH or SPACES handle, last sign-in) so we can verify another way under GDPR Article 12.

Apps and platforms covered

Deleting your account here removes data from all StarDust surfaces: the iOS app (App Store: StarDust Meet, com.stardustmeet.app), the Android app (Google Play: StarDust Meet, com.stardustmeet.app), the web experience at stardustmeet.com, and our backend services.

Retention exceptions

A small set of records survive deletion for the legally required minimum period:

  • Stripe payment transactions: 7 years (Swedish bookkeeping law / Bokföringslagen).
  • Safety reports you submitted about other users (anonymised after your deletion).
  • Law-enforcement-flagged content during an active investigation.
  • Audit logs for GDPR Article 30 records of processing activities.
